Position Summary:

Quantum Talent Group is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished QA Engineer with a strong background in software quality assurance and test automation to join our client project team on an urgent 12-month contract basis in Abu Dhabi, UAE, open to candidates who are already based in the UAE only. In this specialized quality engineering role, you will spearhead designing, developing, and executing comprehensive automated test suites, functional test cases, and performance benchmarks across complex enterprise applications. You will work closely with software developers, product owners, and DevOps squads to ensure uncompromising software quality, reliability, and functional correctness. Detailed Job Description:

As a QA Engineer at Quantum Talent Group in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you will take full ownership of validating software releases, establishing rigorous quality assurance frameworks, and driving test automation initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass writing automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or RestAssured, executing regression, integration, and performance testing, and collaborating with developers to isolate and resolve software defects. You will integrate automated testing suites into CI/CD deployment pipelines, design test plans based on business requirements, and track bug lifecycles using Jira. Working in a fast-paced client-facing environment requiring UAE residency for a 12-month contract, you will uphold the highest standards of software excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive automated test scripts and functional test suites.

Perform thorough regression, integration, system, smoke, and user acceptance testing across web and mobile applications.

Validate RESTful APIs and microservices utilizing Postman, RestAssured, or specialized API testing frameworks.

Integrate automated testing suites into CI/CD deployment pipelines to enable continuous quality validation.

Collaborate closely with software developers, product owners, and scrum masters to analyze requirements and acceptance criteria.

Identify, log, track, and prioritize software defects and anomalies using Jira or equivalent bug-tracking tools.

Conduct performance, load, and stress testing using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Ensure strict adherence to software quality metrics, test coverage goals, and regulatory compliance standards.

Participate in architectural reviews and sprint planning to evaluate testability and potential edge cases.

Maintain comprehensive test documentation, traceability matrices, and quality assurance reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum 4+ years of professional software quality assurance and test automation experience.

Strong programming proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation development.

Deep practical experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

Solid hands‑on expertise with API testing, validation tools, and database verification techniques.

Working knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated test execution (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, bug‑tracking, and cross‑functional communication capabilities.

Professional availability for a 12‑month contract engagement in Abu Dhabi, UAE (Candidates based in UAE only).

Nice-to‑Have Skills:

Professional certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level or Agile Testing credentials.

Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust).

Familiarity with containerization platforms (Docker) and cloud testing environments.

Prior working experience in agile software development teams, financial technology, or large‑scale enterprise IT.
